If you have been to Beer’s Automotive, you most likely have spoken personally with our Service Manager, Kyle Hodge and have experienced his energetic personality. Kyle keeps things moving! We feel very thankful and blessed to have him at Beers!
Kyle has always loved cars and anything with an engine. He states, “I always knew I would work on vehicles as a career.” In high school, he did bodywork part-time. After school, he realized he didn’t enjoy engine work as much so he changed his paths and has “never regretted it.”
His favorite aspect as the Service Manager is all the knowledge gleaned learning what makes vehicles tick. In addition, experiencing all the cool vehicles he has had the pleasure of working on is a plus. Kyle believes working on vehicles is his calling. At Beer’s, he also enjoys working directly with customers too.
Spending time with his wife, Amanda, is what Kyle enjoys most outside of work. He also spends time working around his house, on his personal vehicles and attending racing events. Drag racing events are his favorites.
Kyle and his wife have a dog-son named Georgie and a new addition to the family, Tipp-a cat.
Things that make Kyle smile the most are cars, race cars, and turbos. Not to forget his wife and his customers at Beers. 😊
When asked about his hero, he stated his employers. (And no, we did not ask him to say that! 😉) He commented, “They brought me in, gave me all the tools to thrive and better myself. Working for them has been a blessing.” The blessing goes both ways!
When you walk through our doors, Alicia is most likely the first person who greets you! We are very thankful and blessed to have her as a part of our team! She began her adventure in the automotive industry two years ago as a parts driver.
Her favorite part of her job is our customers. “There are customers who have come to Beer’s for years who you become close with and then the new customers with whom you get to build that relationship.”
Away from work Alicia enjoys spending time with her son and boyfriend, finding something new to experience. Whether they are going to car shows, camping, nature hikes or vacations down to Texas to see family, Alicia enjoys it all.
She grew up as an “Army Brat,” which means her family moved somewhere new every few years. As an adult, she has settled down more but still loves to travel. She is originally from Galion, so Alicia does have family in the area, as well as in Texas and Missouri.
Alicia says her hero would be her son. “Watching him grow up into the young man he is today and every day, inspires me (Alicia), to do better in my life.” He also is the person that makes her laugh and smile the most in life.
Scott is our 34-year veteran automotive technician. He is an ASE Master Technician and has been with Beer’s since 1983! We are very thankful and blessed to have his expertise! His favorite part of his job is seeing his efforts help customers keep their vehicles road worthy.
Away from work Scott enjoys amateur rocketry, fishing and long-range target shooting. (He builds some pretty amazing rockets. If you ever have a chance, ask him about them.)
He is married to Lori and they have two adult daughters, Ashley and Amanda. They also have two adorable grandsons and one just as adorable granddaughter they enjoy. In addition, they have a couple of dogs.
When asked who his hero was, he said his father. What Scott enjoys the most is quality time with his family!
Brad is our second ASE Technician. Brad has been working for Beer’s for over 2 years, which is his first “official” job in the automotive industry. However, he has been wrenching with his father ever since he could turn a wrench! He is currently working steadily towards becoming an ASE Master Technician.
Brad’s favorite part of his job is being able to work on and learn so much about many different cars and trucks. “I also enjoy everybody I work with. Everybody has always been nice and welcoming, which makes it nice and easy to come to work... it is one of the cleanest shops in town. I couldn't ask for a better job.” We are blessed to have Brad at Beer’s and appreciate his willingness and eagerness to get the job done right.
Away from work Brad enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to fairs to enjoy the food and events, and of course working on his own cars! Brad had the opportunity to get behind the wheel and race a Federated Stock car around the track. There are a few pictures posted on Beer’s FB page to check out. If you ever have a chance, ask him about his experience.
Brad appreciates that both his parents have always worked hard to get him through life. He has a girlfriend, Ashley, whom he “loves to death.” He also has a couple cats.
Brad has two heroes. One is his old school teacher, Ron Saunders. Ron has done many amazing things in his life and Brad stated he, “will always look up to him.” Brad’s boss is his second hero. Growing up, Brad always dreamed of owning his own reputable shop one day.
What makes Brad laugh and smile the most is his girlfriend, Ashley. When a customer gets his vehicle back from Brad and they are happy, it makes him happy too.
Doug is our newest addition to the Beer’s Automotive team. He is our tire go-to technician. He knows the install of tires inside and out. A common thread with most of our team is that they started working on vehicles as children! Doug is no exception. He would help his dad by handing him tools and even had his own toolset, pretending to be working on vehicles. Doug went through Madison’s vocational class for Auto Tech and then Nashville Auto Diesel College and Ohio Technical College, where he earned his first job as an automotive technician.
Working on a vehicle and knowing he is making a difference in that vehicle owner’s life is his favorite aspect of his job. Making a difference by either relieving some stress the customers have about their repairs or bringing to light an issue with their vehicles. Knowing that the customer is as safe as possible in their vehicle is critical to Doug.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys watching movies, playing Magic the Gathering and spending time with his family. “I have an amazing wife, Tauri, as well as 3 children. Kylie is my oldest at 12, the Lilee at 11, and finally Dominic, who is 1 year old. Then you can’t forget our fur babies. Gus Gus, named after the fat mouse on Cinderella, my 7-year-old male cat, and Ani, who is my 4-year-old female cat.”
When asked what makes him smile and laugh the most, Doug said his family and their close group of friends who get together, “it’s always a good time.”
We feel very blessed and thankful to have Doug on our team!
